I am based in Killarney, Johannesburg, servicing all the surrounding areas. I am currently in private practice after having gained vast exposure in the corporate, educational and clinical environments.
I did my internship at UJ’s Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development (PsyCaD), where I assessed mostly children, then I worked for a corporate company and dealt with assessments for recruitment (job-fit) and development purposes. I have gained a vast amount of exposure in dealing with group assessments, due to the bulk subject choice, learnership and bursary assessments I have done.
Psychometrics is the psychological measurement of an individual’s cognitive ability, personality, interest, and aptitude using standardised assessments.
My experience in the field of addiction counselling is also varied as I consult at various rehabilitation centers, as well as counsel clients on an outpatient program in private practice.
Counselling helps to identify root causes of these issues, resolve them and develop coping techniques in place of using drugs or alcohol, which are unhealthy escape mechanisms.
